This morning Bus 77 was involved in a minor accident. No students were hurt and only a few students were still on the bus. Parents of those students are being directly contacted. NWISD driver was not at fault. Thankfully, no one was hurt and even bus damage was minimal.

The Texas Department of Agriculture has approved for students that qualify for reduced price meals to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost during the 25-26 and 26-27 school years. If you did not receive a free and reduced meal application at the start of the school year, please go to the Child Nutrition page under Departments on the district website to complete the application and return it to your student(s) campus secretary. A free and Reduced Meal Application is required to be completed every year to determine if you qualify.

We briefly asked all campuses to shelter in place this afternoon due to a gas leak in town. Out of abundance of caution we held students inside until given the all clear by fire department and other officials. Dismissal and activities have been cleared to resume; however, please be aware that 75 itself will likely be closed between 150 and bulldog lane until the damage is repaired so expect traffic delays.
We are still experiencing an internet & phone outage due to a Suddenlink outage. We will update once this has been restored.
