New Waverly Intermediate Receives Maximum Distinctions Possible from TEA

We would like to take a moment to celebrate the success of New Waverly Intermediate.  According to the Texas Education Agency, New Waverly Intermediate was one of approximately 400 campuses that reached all possible distinctions given by the State of Texas.  We would like to congratulate our students, faculty, staff, families, and principal for receiving this recognition.  Overall, there are over 9300 campuses in Texas according to the National Center for Education Statistics.  This equates to placing our students’ achievement in the top 4% of the state.  We are so very proud of our students!  We have always stated that testing when used correctly shows areas of strength and areas to improve upon.  We believe this type of data shows just that—a great job by our community and schools working together.  We believe all of our students and staff work hard, but we are honored and proud when they receive recognition.  I personally congratulate Mrs. Lepley and the staff for their hard work!
